Font Size
Most browsers will allow you to change the viewable size of the font on the page if a site has been coded correctly with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to comply with the W3C Groups guidelines on accessibility. The Jive Pony web site has been designed and developed using these guidelines so if you are familiar with how your browser can increase or decrease the size of the font, you may do so.

 

Screen Resolution
The Jive Pony web site has been designed and optimised for a screen resolution width of 1024 pixels. If you are viewing on a screen width smaller than this, say 800 pixels wide, then follow the simple instructions below to increase the viewable area of your monitor.

Using the mouse, right click on your desktop and select 'Properties' and then choose the 'Settings' tab from the Display Properties dialog box that appears. Make sure Screen resolution is set to a minimum of 1024 by 768 pixels by selecting the appropriate resolution as shown below.

 

Browser compatibility
The Jive Pony web site can be viewed via a range of web browsers and we have made sure that the design is compatible across the four main browsers in common use. Internet Explorer 7, Firefox, Safari and Opera.

If you are using current versions of any of these browsers then the site will appear as we had originally intended it to. Although other browsers maybe available, we do not guarantee that the site will appear as it should and would recommend you download one of the following, all of which are free to install:

Download and install Internet Explorer v8

Download and install Firefox v3

Download and install Safari v3

Download and install Opera v9

Note: If you still have IE6 installed on your computer then the Jive Pony web site may not display correctly as intended. More importantly, we strongly advise that you upgrade to version 7 to fixed the security issues in IE6.

 

Viewing the video on our home page
If you are having difficulties in viewing the video on our home page, you may need to install a plugin from Adobe to enable the video to play. Simply download and install the free Flash Player plugin from Adobe to view the video.

 

Reading PDF documents
There are some documents available to download on the Jive Pony web site which have been saved as Portable Document Format (PDF) which is an industry standard file format from Adobe. If you are unable to view these files then you probably require the free PDF Reader software from Adobe installed on your computer. Simply download the software to view PDF files.

 

Validated XHTML and CSS code
The Jive Pony web site has been developed using the latest XHTML and CSS standards which provides a site that is accessible and complies with the guidelines set out by the W3C Group. We have made every effort to make sure that our site is browser compatible, easy to increase font sizes and is search engine friendly.

Throughout the development process the site has been check and validated for it's use of XHTML and CSS and we are proud to have passed validation at every stage of development.
