2010 Events

Jive Pony are still taking bookings for 2010. If you are organising a show in 2010 then we would like to talk to you. Jive Pony is the UK's premier female equestrian display team, offering the very best in family entertainment.

Children will be amazed at the gymnastic vaulting skills and thrilled by the danger and speed of trick riding from Rebecca and Rosie while the adults will also enjoy the glamour and dance. Events Booked for April 2010

Bexley Easter Family and Craft Show, Kent
April 4th & 5th
Jive Pony are really happy the season kicks off with a show organised by Oakleigh Fairs and takes place in Bexley, Kent. These family days are great days out with lots of things to see do and learn about. Entertainment will include birds of prey flying displays, medieval re-enactment village including fighting knights, The Sheep Show - an educational as well as fun show, as well as rural demonstrations. Arts, craft and gift marquees as well as lifestyle and food hall stands will give you the chance to sample and buy unique products, and Jive Pony will be performing their first Solo Shows of the 2010 season here.

Events Booked for June 2010

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf Fun Day, Princes Risborough
June 6th
This is a new one for Jive Pony but we are really looking forward to performing here as the hearing dogs trainers know all about communicating with animals, so we may even pick up a few new tips to teach the boys! We will be performing our Duo Show here at this family fun day, if you're a dog lover make sure you get down to this one.

The Three Counties, Malvern
June 18th, 19th & 20th
The Three Counties Show remains the largest agricultural and countryside show in the region offering a superb day out for all ages. Over the three days, the event showcases the best of British food, farming and rural life through a varied and full programme. If you are interested in supporting the countryside, seeing magnificent animals, rural living and country pursuits or even just want a fun day out with the family then this is place to be, not to mention we will be there in force performing our new duo shows throughout the three days, see you there!

Broughton Game Fair near Skipton
June 27th
Broughton Game Show is a small but perfectly formed day out for all countryside lovers. The 2009 show boasted pipe bands, hounds, shooting, vulture and eagle displays, terrier racing and even a bird man competition over the on site lake! From what I can gather all the competitors got quite wet! And this year Jive Pony will be performing the perfectly formed solo show's bringing a bit of equestrian glamour to the day!

Jive Pony, Stadhampton
June 30th
Jive Pony teach the Circus! Jive Pony are returning to where it all started, Gifford Circus, to teach a fun day of vaulting for the cast of their brand new 2010 Circus musical Yasmine. Make sure you check out this fantastic colourful musical show this season!

Events Booked for July 2010

The Ware Town Council Carnival
July 3rd
The Ware Festival Committee organises a wide range of events throughout July; from a lively Carnival Parade, through to an Over 60s Party, Raft Race, Teddy Bear’s picnic and lot's more. Jive Pony will be performing their solo shows at the beginning of the festival to help kick things off. This years theme is all creatures great and small.

Commotion '10, Oxfordshire
July 10th
Come to Commotion '10 the award winning family friendly music festival which this year features an awesome line up to rock your socks off including the Jive Pony Solo shows! See you there.

Jive Pony - Vaulting Training Day
July 11th
Jive Pony will be running a closed teaching clinic all day at Northcote Heavy Horse Centre. Both Rebecca and Rosie will be putting some new vaulters through their paces and giving some pointers to some more experienced ones that want to develop their skills further. We think the horses are going to be BIG!

Todenham Fete
July 17th
Jive Pony are showing off their skills close to home as they perform a Solo Show at their local fete. Rebecca is planning on using the new baby horses for their first public show. This should be entertaining for everyone! Watch this space...

CLA Game Fair
July 23rd, 24th & 25th
The CLA Game Fair is the ultimate event for the country sport enthusiast. In addition to the enormous amount to see and do, the Game Fair offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the company of thousands of like-minded people and soak up the tremendous atmosphere generated by this world renowned countryside event. Ragley Hall is a new and exciting venue for The CLA Game Fair and, with its superb location, offers a well-positioned venue for visitors from all parts of the country. Jive Pony will be working flat out performing 3 times a day, once in the main ring and twice in the mini ring so no excuses not to catch a show! Don't forget to come and say hello after the show and pick up a signed poster or two!

Jive Pony - Vaulting Training Day
July 28th
Jive Pony will be travelling to Quainton Stud for another day of teaching. Our training clinics are now becoming more popular and this one will see Rebecca and Rosie meeting up with a lot of clubbers. In fact we have been informed that over 40 will be attending this closed training day, wish us good luck!

Events Booked for August 2010

Waylands Show, Watton Norfolk
August 1st
Another new show for Jive Pony in 2010. This fantastic one day agricultural show has everything you could hope for - lots of animals with a big horse section to boot. We will be performing our Jive Pony Duo Show here, hopefully adding a bit of glamour to the rural proceedings! See you there.

Jive Pony - Vaulting Training Day
August 4th
The Junior Pony Club at the Quainton Stud will be taking their turn in getting first class training from both Rebecca Townsend and Rosie Howard. The young members will have a day to remember with hands on experience and guidance from two of the finest vaulting performers in the UK today.

Blakesley Show, Northamptonshire
August 7th
The 126th Blakesley Show takes place on Saturday the 7th of
August. We haven't performed here before but it looks like an animal
full schedule with horses, sheep, cattle, mares and foals to mention a
few. Make sure you don't miss Jive Pony performing their Duo Show in
the main arena.

Camelford Agricultural Show
August 11th
Jive Pony return to Camelford Agricultural show. This show
has everything you could wish for from vintage car and tractor
displays to craft tents, fair ground rides and of course Jive Pony
performing their Solo Show twice daily! Lets hope the weather's as amazing
as last time!

Frogham Fair
August 28th
Frogham Fair takes place on the afternoon of the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday Weekend in the fields of Springfield Farm near Frogham crossroads. Established in 1971 and organised by local volunteers, the Fair raises money for the Memorial Hall and local charities. Traditional events include Terrier Racing, Country Crafts, Games, Bottle Tombola, Books, Plants, stalls from a variety of local charities, organisations and suppliers, Punch & Judy, Bouncy Castle, BBQ, Tea Tent, Bar, Live Music and more including Arena Events and the renowned Hampshire Wheelbarrow Race up Blissford Hill which nearly killed the last Jive Pony Clown that took part! We return to this lovely show with our solo shows so if your in the area pop down to this lovely show, you wont be disappointed!

Uffington White Horse Show
August 29th & 30th
The Uffington White Horse Show is a traditional two day country show and it takes place every August bank holiday Sunday and Monday. The Show is located in farm meadows overlooked by the famous bronze age chalk stone figure of the Uffington White Horse, which is over 3,000 years old. Jive Pony will be appearing twice a day performing there three horse show including some rather interesting trick riding from the Jive Pony glamorous assistance's! A not to be missed traditional fun day out for all the family.

Events Booked for September 2010

Welsh Festival of the Horse, Margam Park
September 4th & 5th
The first Welsh Festival of the Horse was held in 2006 and attracted thousands of visitors to the beautiful setting of Margam Park. Families enjoyed a mix of spectacular stunt riding, elegant side-saddle displays, frenetic Pony Club games, tiny and adorable ponies and the gentle giants, Shire horses. This year Jive Pony will be adding to the equestrian displays performing their Duo show twice a day and meeting and greeting in the mini ring, this is defiantly one for all the horse fans as every type of horse you can dream of will be putting in an appearance!

Penistone Show, South Yorkshire
September 11th
The aims of the Penistone Show are to provide an agricultural show, which promotes the countryside, agriculture & horticulture and associated interests. There are various livestock on display i.e. Cattle, Sheep, Pigs, Goats, Pigeons, Hens, Bantams, Shire Horses, Lurchers, Terriers, Companion Dogs and many more. There are exhibitions and displays including Vintage vehicles, Owls, Farriers, Dry Stone Walling, Hounds, Handicrafts, Horticulture, Photography etc. Also promoted is the local farmers market where you can buy fresh produce direct from the growers, Butchers, Bakers, Cake makers, Jam Makers. The list is endless. Jive Pony will also be performing their two different Solo shows throughout the day and then shopping for the above!

Southwell Ploughing Match & Show
September 25th
General ploughing, vintage ploughing, horse ploughing, children's riding classes, ridden hunters, show jumping, shire horses, private driving, pony club games, side saddle, beef and dairy cattle, sheep, corn, roots and fodder, hedge laying, steam engines, threshing demonstration horticulture and domestic produce classes, children's classes and companion dog show. Phew! As you can see there's a lot going on at the Southwell Ploughing Match & Show and that's not even mentioning Jive Pony's Duo show...
