Rebecca Townsend is Annie Oakley...
When Rebecca is not performing with Jive Pony across the UK to packed crowds at all the major shows and fairs, she is in high demand across the world for her horsemanship and acting skills. Currently Rebecca is performing at Disneyland Paris in a brand new production for 2009 - Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show with Mickey and friends!

Rebecca's working with Mickey and his friends to take you back to the time of the Old West to meet Buffalo Bill, Sitting Bull, Annie Oakley (performed by Jive Pony's Rebecca Townsend) and the Rough Riders. Check out the gallery pages to see some exclusive shots of Rebecca in action.

Photos from our first 2009 shows now added...
It's been so busy lately that we have not had a chance to update the web site with some photos taken at our recent shows which were performed to crowds across the UK. Apart from one cold and drizzly day, Jive Pony have been very lucky with the weather and the sun has always shined on our performances. Check out the new photos from our 2009 shows.

Training for the new shows continues...
It's just over a month to go before the 2009 season begins. Rehearsals for the fast approaching season are going great and we have some great new tricks for you all this year, so you'll have to checkout the 2009 calendar to find out where we shall be performing and get yourself along to one of the events to be amazed and dazzled by Jive Pony this year.

The whole Jive Pony team, including the horses, are really looking forward to getting back on the road and apart from some new routines, we also have some new additions to the team - more about that very soon so keep coming back for all the very latest news from Jive Pony.

Looking forward to our 2009 Season...
We are currently busy planning our new 2009 shows which are going to be bigger and better than before, some new stunts and maybe the odd new costume thrown in to!

Jive Pony are delighted to have secured three more shows, The 85th Annual Middlesex Town and Country Show in June, while in July we have agreed to appear at the Annual Chilterns Show, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire where I'm sure the crowds will be delighted to see the shows and come and visit us afterwards to meet the team up close and personal.

We've also secured a booking in August for a new show for us, The Thornton le Dale Show nr Pickering. This is a mid-week event for Jive Pony and we look forward to entertaining the crowds with our stunning array of equine stunts and fast paced gymnastic skills.

Seasonal Wishes and more shows booked
Rebecca and Rosie, along with all the team behind the scenes at Jive Pony would like to extend their wishes to everyone over the festive period. Taking a well earned rest from preparing for the 2009 shows, we all hope that you have a great Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.

Before the year is out we can confirm three more events have now been booked for 2009 which we are delighted about. Our first April booking which is on the Easter weekend will be at the Mid Suffolk Show, while we have taken two more bookings later in the season, The Radlett Festival in June and The Gower Show later in August. We hope that there is a show near to you so that you can come and watch our stunning equine skills and then visit us after the shows for a chat and to meet the lovely ponies.

Jive Pony finally coming home!
Jive Pony have confirmed another two shows today, with us taking a long trip up to Dumfriesshire in Scotland in August to perform our stunning Duo Shows to the crowds at their long running agricultural show.

Secondly we are delighted to have confirmed details with the Moreton-in-Marsh show organiser's to appear at our local town's country fair in September. This is the first time that Jive Pony have been given the opportunity to perform to their home crowd and both Rebecca and Rosie are looking forward to putting on a very special show for them all.

New Dates for 2009
Jive Pony have just confirmed details with another three show organiser's for 2009. One of the highlights will be our highly successful appearance at the CLA Game Fair, which for 2009 will be taking place at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire in July. The other two shows are the FICC Rally, Lincoln Show Ground in May and the Danson Summer Fair in August. Full details of all our shows now booked for the 2009 season can be viewed in the event calendar page for 2009.

Jive Pony updates
We have updated the gallery section today with some photos from a society wedding that we performed at in September and we have also been sent some extra photos from our weekend at the World Sheep Dog Trials, taken by photographer Phillippa Wood.

We performed a show for a group of disabled children and their parents down in Bristol recently and they were so so lovely, plus we have received more praise from the organiser's of the Autumn Fair 2008 which can be viewed on our feedback page within the show section of our site.

Jive Pony launch brand new web site
Jive Pony have undergone a major transformation online to bring their web site at www.jive-pony.co.uk right up-to-date and more accessible to everyone who has been following us for the past few years.

Now featuring more information for event and show organiser's as well as lots of imagery for fans of the UK's premier female equestrian display team to view online. We have even created some wallpapers for you to download.

We believe that the changes made to our web site also reflect the changes that Jive Pony have seen over the past 12 months as the team steps up a gear with more dynamic equine shows like Jive Pony's brand new Super Duo displays. We are now performing to larger audiences and bigger events including the CLA, The Royal Show and more recently at the Land Rover World Sheep Dog Trials in Wales.

2009 is an exciting year for Jive Pony and with the new site now live, both Rebecca Townsend and Rosie Howard see the UK's premier female equestrian display team going from strength to strength. Come and watch us at a show in 2009 and keep up-to-date with our latest news right here online.
